• A clear understanding of the Board's role on People Management      
• A staffing sub-committee or other organised means of undertaking the Board's people management responsibilities.      
• Progressive and practical employment policies for the organisation.      
• Job descriptions for all staff members.      
• A diagram of the staffing structure including freelancers and volunteers.      
• A recruitment and selection code or procedure.
